The campaign
IN2 Engineering partnered with Sport Endorse to strengthen employee engagement and celebrate its inaugural Employee Appreciation Day by connecting directly with Irish rugby international Robbie Henshaw. Sport Endorse managed the talent sourcing, event planning and speaker coordination, delivering an inspiring leadership Q&A and employee recognition event.
The challenge
As IN2 Engineering prepared to host its first-ever Employee Appreciation Day, the company wanted more than a traditional corporate event. The objective was to recognise employees, strengthen team culture and create a memorable experience that reflected the company's people-first values.
IN2 also wanted to bring employees closer to senior leadership by creating an open discussion around teamwork, collaboration, company growth and the future of the business. To maximise the impact of the event, the company required a respected sporting personality who could authentically connect the lessons of elite performance with business leadership while professionally facilitating the session.
The Sport Endorse solution
Sport Endorse worked directly with IN2 Engineering to secure Irish rugby international Robbie Henshaw as guest speaker and event host.
Following the initial briefing, Sport Endorse coordinated talent availability, confirmed the event date, facilitated pre-event planning discussions and helped shape the overall Q&A format. Working closely with IN2's leadership team, the session was designed around the company's objectives of employee recognition, teamwork, collaboration and leadership.
The result was a professionally managed event featuring a live panel discussion between Robbie Henshaw and IN2's senior leadership team, followed by the presentation of the company's inaugural Employee Recognition Awards.
Athlete fit
Robbie Henshaw was an ideal choice for the event because his experience competing at the highest level of international rugby closely reflected the themes IN2 wanted to communicate.
His insights into teamwork, resilience, leadership and continuous improvement aligned naturally with the company's culture. As Co-Founder of Auva Certification-an organisation already working with IN2-his appearance also extended beyond sport, providing additional credibility and business relevance for the audience.
Rather than delivering a standalone motivational speech, Robbie actively participated in a leadership conversation that encouraged employees to draw practical lessons from both elite sport and business.
