Rory McIlroy updated his bio on Instagram last week to include “Grand Slam winner”. The number of his followers on the social media platform soared from 3 million on Sunday to 3.4 million within a few days.
Trevor Twamley, CEO of the sports marketing platform Sport Endorse, has done an analysis of Rory’s Insta followers.
“33% of his followers are in America, 11% in the UK and 5% in France,” notes Twamley, underlining McIlroy’s diverse appeal.
